14 distinct papers from 6 scientific studies will feature at AfHEA 2025 by Health Policy Research Group

The African Health Economics and Policy Association (AfHEA) is back with an all-in-person scientific conference between March 10 and 14, 2025 at the Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda. Since 2009, AfHEA has continued to host this major and largest conference of health economics, systems, and policy experts across Africa. The last all-in-person conference was hosted in 2019.

Also, since 2009, the Health Policy Research Group, University of Nigeria (HPRG-UNN), among the founding members of AfHEA and a frontline health systems and policy institute in Africa, has consistently featured in AfHEA’s conferences. This year, over 12 studies from the research think-tank will be presented in Kigali, drawing from an arsenal of its studies on health financing, urban health, community health systems, sexual and reproductive health rights, health sector corruption, vaccine economics, crime and health, sanitation and hygiene, and school health.
